PRODUCT DATA
The Concorde Wall System is comprised of two size units, Standard and Patriot. Each unit has similar qualities like side to side and top to bottom interlocking capabilities, along with vertical and setback configurations. A brief description is included below to outline differences. As a designer, contractor or owner, the versatility of the Concorde units insure a proper fit whatever the project scope.
CONCORDE STANDARDThe Standard unit weighs in at 80 pounds of solid concrete, and is suited for barriers, fencing, or free-standing walls up to 10 feet in height. As a fencing system, the units can be placed on a 6-inch leveling course of crushed rock and laid to meet any alignment.
With both sides of the units finished, Standard used in a free-standing barrier, or those which extend above the retaining walls ground surface, provide for a clean completed look. Just like the larger Patriot Unit, steel reinforcing can be used to anchor the Standard system. Using a combination of a reinforced wall stem, in line with bond beams and tied to embankment anchors, walls using Standard units have been built in excess of 30 feet. The Standard unit, which is 6 inches high and 12 inches deep, can be easily lifted and stacked by hand in the proper alignment without clamping devices. As a retaining wall, the Standard unit can incorporate geogrid where space allows, or be designed using concrete footings, stem steel reinforcement and/or earth anchors to complete the project. |
CONCORDE PATRIOT
The larger Patriot unit supplies the mass and reinforcing capability to meet the highest load demanding projects. Its weight, in excess of 200 lbs, and size, 8 inches tall and 18 inches deep, provide a solid concrete mass to resist loads. The unit is manufactured with centered reinforcing holes which provide a means to connect the system to a concrete footing. As a free standing barrier, the individual unit weight and interlocking feature provides an 18" solid concrete wall mass. The barrier stem can be reinforced with conventional reinforcing steel to construct a structure capable of resisting most applied forces. The Patriot units can be installed by hand, but the size makes it ideal for placement with small equipment. Production rates can exceed 1,000 square feet per day with a crew of 2 and a small backhoe.
